So let's start friends -

Understanding the nature of the Civil Services Examination

Before starting the preparation for the Civil Services Examination, it is very important that you have a complete understanding of the entire examination system, syllabus, examination structure and various exam related issues! In recent years it has been seen that there have been major changes in the Civil Services Examination System, this change is the course of examination, method of examination, the range of opportunity for the candidates and age. And there may be some changes in the future too!

Sometimes it is seen that many candidates do not have full knowledge of the examination, they take half incomplete information! There are many exam questions in front of new people, which can be read and cleared by the ad! Keeping in mind the changes in the present system of examination, it becomes very important that, for the good understanding of the related changes, the ad should be studied in depth!

When you know what the Commission wants from you? , And what do you find in it? Then your study will be more influential and successful for the exam! Preparation that you should keep in mind one thing in every step that the score is not of the same importance as the importance of this is that how much better you can be compared to the other person to achieve success in the exam!

The nature of the examination can be understood on the basis of the following points:

    Full overview of advertising
Understanding the examination course and the demand for exams
Overall analysis of last year's question paper and analyzing current exam trends
About the exams, teachers, successful candidates, discussing with unsuccessful candidates, senior candidates and friends etc.

Educational Qualification

Bachelor Degree in any subject should be received from any recognized university!
 Age Range

For the general candidate this age limit should be less than 21 years and not more than 32 years!
For the Other Backward Classes this age limit should not be less than 21 years and above 35 years!
For the candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, this age limit should be less than 21 years and not more than 37 years!

 Number of occasions

There are currently 6 attempts for the general category person, there are currently 9 attempts for the candidates belonging to Other Backward Classes, and no limit on efforts for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes candidates is applicable, i.e. they will be in the examination for 37 years May be included!
 Test scheme

This examination is organized in three phases.
 1. Initial Examination -

Civil Services Initial Examination, which is the objective type with the arrangement of negative digits!
The preliminary examination is a screening test, by which a few thousand candidates are selected for the main exam!
In the final result, the marks of the initial examination are not included!
The first question paper for this examination is General Examination (GS) of 200 marks! And the second question paper is of the Civil Services Ability Test (CSAT) of 200 marks, which is only for qualifying level (33%), meaning that its numbers are not added to the merit created for the main exam!
It means that the merit made for the main examination is made only on the basis of the first paper of the question paper (GS), it is mandatory to pass with only 33% marks in second question paper i.e.
Due to the second question paper qualification of the CSAT in the economy, it has now become easier for candidates of non-technical background, candidates of rural background! Prior to this, these candidates were in the condition of loss due to being the main role in the qualification of the second question paper, the question paper was not favorable to them! Now the examination system has become the same level for every candidate, either hard for everyone or general for everyone!

 2. Main examination -

It is a very important place for success in the Civil Services Examination, it is a total of 2050 marks.
At present, the candidate has to choose an optional subject, with two question papers (each - 250 marks)!
There is a question paper of essay which is divided into two sections, and writing a essay from each section requires a total of 2 essays to be written! For each essay, 1250 words are defined, 250 marks have been prescribed for essay.
There are 4 question papers of general knowledge and 250 marks have been prescribed for each question paper
Apart from this, there are 2 compulsory qualifying question papers (every 300 points)! Whose marks are not added to the merit created for the interview! That is, these two question papers only qualify! There is a first English language question paper in which to get the minimum 25% marks (300 marks) to get qualification, and as a second question paper, you can choose one of the languages mentioned in the eighth schedule of the Constitution. To get qualification, minimum 30% marks (300 points) are to be brought!

 3. Interview

Based on the main examination results, about 3 times the number of posts advertised for various services are called for interview by the Commission!
275 points have been set for interview

So far we have understood the whole system of civil service, now it comes about how to prepare it!
 How to study?
 Study for understanding and clarity

To save time, study as per the examination pattern and its syllabus, read one or two standard books for a particular topic or topic! There is no need to read many books for a topic! You have to become a civil servant, not a scholar! To achieve good marks in the Civil Services Examination, the subject matter should be read while inter-related to each other, through this kind of process, you will be able to remember things for a long time!
During preparation, some important points should be kept in mind which is low -

Preparation exam should be centered, and your hard work should be in the right direction!
While reading each topic, the objective should be to get the basic understanding of that topic!
Most of your time should be spent in thinking and discussing, not reading the study material from many books!
According to me, first of all, study any subject for success in the Civil Services Examination, then do meditation after that, and then write it down!
Analyze the question papers of last year, so that you can understand the demand of the examiner!
To succeed in the exam, it is more important to know what is not to read!

 Group Discussion

Be sure to discuss whatever you read with your friends and classmates! You will be able to speak on any topic only when you have studied the related topics in depth, through the discussion of the topic, you learn various issues related to that topic and also many new questions related to your topic. Is generated!
 Revision

Whatever you are reading, repeat it in regular intervals, by repeating the topic or topic, you think about different approaches related to it, and it gives you a good understanding! You should always try to make sure that the topic you have read in the past has been repeated before entering the new topic or topic!
 Choosing an Optional Topic

In the civil service, optional subjects play an important role in selection, so while keeping an alternative topic in mind, keep the following points in mind -

No such topic should be selected at all, that has been successful in any previous year or previous years with that related topic! There must be some interest in the subject you choose!
If you've read that topic for at least 1 year, then it can be read even for 2 or 3 years to come! You must be interested in the topic, you must be passionate about the topic, otherwise you will not be able to enjoy the preparation. This topic will seem like a burden to you and you will not be able to understand the theme easily!
Bay people who come after studying post graduation should choose the subject of their post graduation as an optional subject, because during the post graduation studies, you have developed an understanding of that topic!
Many times people choose such a subject when they are told that this particular subject can be given high marks! While it may be that he does not have any interest in the particular subject. Now, if you see the other side, it may be that a candidate has obtained high marks in this subject but on the contrary it may also be that many candidates are high with this subject You can not even get points! Therefore, this type of criteria should not be used for the selection of the subject!
Some candidates also elect an optional subject based on the size of the curriculum, meaning they see how much the curriculum of the subject is small; in some cases it may be a proper step, but the only criterion for selection of the subject can not be! Therefore, on the basis that the subject of the subject matter is small, do not choose the subject!
If you choose an optional subject related to topics such as history, geography, state system, economy etc., which are included in the course of study of study, which will give you additional benefits in preparation of general studies, and with the preparation of an optional subject as well as some of the common knowledge Topics will also be ready! This will not make any additional preparation for the study of related topics in the related topics! But we would like to reiterate that you choose these topics only when you have genuine passion and desire for these subjects!
Some candidates are also those who change alternate subjects every year because they can not bring good marks in any particular subject but I feel that first of all the candidates should be self-analyzed and should look for weaknesses in them and not the subject It is also possible that in the same year many candidates get success with good marks! Therefore, we should not blame the subject, but should evaluate our hard work on the subject and also make the necessary correction in it!
If you find that an alternate subject is really hard for you then it should be changed without delay, if you do this work at the beginning of preparation it would be more appropriate!
As the above points have been told that in the Civil Services Examination, the optional subject occupies important place, then you should choose such an optional subject which you should be totally comfortable with, regardless of the stress and pressure there should be.
Nowadays, based on principle and factual questions by the UPSC are asked very little! Presently, practical questions are asked while establishing their connection with perceptual clarity, analytical abilities, deep understanding of questions and contemporary events! The main aim of the Commission behind this kind of question is to test the candidate's analytical contemporary events and examine the practical knowledge of the candidate! So, choose the subject only when you can understand the subject matter well!

 Role of Coaching Institutions

Be successful - for yourself, (Motivation to Study for Competitive Examinations)

Motivation to Study for Competitive Examinations
Hello friends You all know that there is a lot of questions, anxieties and fears in front of a competitor who prepares for a competitive exam, whose answers he talks about or asks in search of answers. In this battle, he keeps flowing in the dimensions of hope and despair. I have an obligation from all such partners today that nobody knows better than you and the strength of your abilities. The disappointing experience of someone else will apply to your life, it never happens. I am amazed when someone tries to stand firm on this matter that nowadays there is no selection without check - jack, and some even go ahead by stepping up to two steps ahead. Friends, such things are wrapped like hidden words to hide their failures by some unsuccessful people, and such people disappoint others - unemployed. I just want to say so much without going into the debate of exceptions that you take shoes, clothes, rings etc. all from your measurements - which remain with us for a very short period. When we look at our needs, abilities and measurements for things which last for a very short period of time, then by the things or things that make our life better forever, there are some of the frustrated and discontented people Why do you spoil life?

The only thing I can understand is that optimistic thoughts should always be in the mind of the competitor. There is no need to make any revolution for this, just need to think that I can, I will show it. How many losers before me or who did for their success - what to do with their handcuffs etc. -All things are not the subject of our contemplation. Sleeping-wake up, sitting and sitting, I only have to think of those who have shown success in the opposite conditions. Those who prove themselves as baseless by accusing the system, only save frustration for generations to come. Your self-confidence does not stop, it is the most important. He gives constant and untiring efforts. There are many people who want to be reluctantly in the queue of oblivion, but the opposite and the blunders become exemplary in the middle of the people.

It is a humble request from all your competitive teammates that just think good, maintain confidence and read just a few minutes but read it everyday !!! Keep in mind that your success enhances your confidence in the system and the fate is false stories and disappointing examples.

Become successful - for yourself, for everyone and for all who see you and will assure yourself that I too will succeed like one day !!!

Sincerely - Jitendra Kumar Soni IAS
